Why should I snowmobile with Sage?
We have 6000 acres of private land and have developed the best snowombile trails in the valley, with no restrictions from premit regulations. Our guides are the best in the business and will treat you with respect. Our 4 stroke Ski Doo snowmobiles have the latest technology in comfort, durability, and driveability. Our tours are small, meaning there are ususally only 5 - 6 snowmobiles in each tour, so the guide can give you the attention you deserve.
How far in advenace do I need to make my reservation?
The sooner the better. Christmas and New Years are very busy, advenced reservations are recommended. Sometimes we can accomodate you the same day that you call in. We'll try to make it happen!
Are all trips guided?
No, You can also rent snowmobiles from us and go riding on your own. we offer 2, 4, and 7 hour rentals, as well as 2 hour, 3 hour, and advanced guided tours as snow conditions permit.
Do I need experience to go on a snowmobile trip?
No, we have trails developed for all levels of riding, beginner to expert.
How old do I have to be to drive a snowmobile?
you must be 14 years old to drive a sled alone, and 18 years old to carry a passenger. You must have someone at least 21 years old in your party to rent snowmobiles and ride on your own without a guide.

What equipment comes with my snowmobile trip?
We provide the snowmobile, fuel, helmet, and if needed snow bibs and snow boots.
What should I bring?
We reccomend wearing all your ski/winter gear. wear warm boots, ski pants, ski jacket, gloves, goggles, neck gaitor, and a smile!
Should I ride my own snowmobile or ride along with someone else?
We recommend riding your own sled because it's always fun to drive new machines, however if you're more comfortable relaxing and enjoying the views our two person snowmobiles are very comfortable for the passenger.
If I damage the snowmobile will my auto insurance cover any costs?
No, if you damage the sled, you are responsible to pay for the replacement parts and labor to fix it. The waiver you must sign to go on any trip with us binds you to this agreement.
Will Sage cancel the trip due to weather?
Not ususally. Guided tours will go out no matter what the weather is doing. Riding in a snowstorm through trees is exciting!Sometimes we will cancel a rental due to blizzards you can get lost in.

Yes! let us know what you want we'll try our best to make it happen for you!
What is your cancellation policy?
From Dec. 18 - Jan 8 we have a 48 hour cancellation policy, any other time of the year it is a 24 hour cancellation policy. This means that if you cancel within those time frames you will still be charged full fare.
Do you offer transportation?
Yes. Transportation from the lobby of the lodge you are staying at in the Vail Valley is complimentary.
